You will find the nearest restaurant within 200 m of your apartment, and a supermarket within  75 m. Here you can also buy freshly baked bread for breakfast. The closest bus stop can also be found  in front of this supermarket for the ski busses to Kaprun (Maiskogel, Kitzsteinhorn) and Zell am See (Areitbahn, Schmittenhöhe).

There is a forest approx. 500 meters away from the house, where you can enjoy a relaxing stroll and a public swimming pool is about 2 km away. From the apartment it is about a 15 minute walk to the Pinzgauer Lokalbahn train station.

In Walchen you will find the Naglköpfl, a local spot where you can go skiing, tubing, have a go at winter tobogganing, etc. You can also book skiing courses and rent your skiing equipment from them. The Naglköpfl is suitable for beginners and families.
In the valley in front of the house, you have access to the cross-country skiing routes which span several kilometres. 

During, the summer Pinzgau has a lot to offer to hikers, cyclists and sun worshippers alike. The Tauernradweg is located directly in front of our house and there are several lakes within easy reach in which bathing is permitted.
You can also seek your pleasure higher up, for instance on the Schmittenhöhe, the Großglockner, the Kapruner Stausee or at the famous Krimml waterfalls (highest in Europe).

By car, the beautiful town of Kitzbühel (45 minutes) and cities of Salzburg (1 hour and 15 minutes) and Innsbruck (1 hour and 45 minutes) are within easy reach and certainly worth a visit as each has its own unique atmosphere.
